The first website ever dedicated to Maggie Cheung Ho Yee was created in the winter of 1996 under a kiddy title, "Yee Yee Islands." The website creator, Maggie DN, a.k.a. MDN, was then a 14-year-old high school student. Over time, the website matures and so does its creator.

On March 1, 1997, MDN turned a small, simple "Yee Yee Islands" into a "Maggie Cheung Internet Fan Club.”(MCIFC) With the help of early fans such as Gary Teh and Tracy Low from Malaysia, PLC, Stacey Lee and Richard Kong from the USA including Jasmine Yeung from Australia, the first cohort of Maggie Cheung Ho Yee fans on the Internet was born.

By the first MCIFC anniversary in 1998, it had gained 13,000 visitors and over 260 members world wide. In the following year, we saw 200,000 visitors and 400 members. Visitors and membership keep rising every year.

But despite the growth, MCIFC was still just a fan site then. Maggie Cheung Ho Yee did not know of its existence until December 1, 2000 when MCIFC becomes truly a fan site turned official fan club, approved by both Maggie Cheung Ho Yee herself and her manager, Samm Chan Yung Sum. The club then changed its title to "The Official Maggie Cheung International Fan Club," with a website known as "MaggiERA." Heading the committee was MDN and Anita from the USA, Jasmine Yeung from Australia, Irene from Singapore, as well as KF from Malaysia.

The first official fan club gathering was held on December 22, 2002 in Hong Kong. Many fans from all over the world came to celebrate the holiday season with Maggie Cheung Ho Yee. Her friends, Joe Ma Tak Chung and Steven Ma Chun Wai also attended to support.

In the spring of 2005, there was a major change in fan club management. MDN announced her resignation due to change in life situation and her graduation from college. A new webmaster was chosen to take over the website.

MCIFC welcomes your contribution to this site in any possible way. We truly pledge to make this fan club one that binds all Maggie Cheung Ho Yee’s fans together globally and to constantly update information to keep Maggie’s fans informed and updated.
